“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:  God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

I Timothy 3:16

The Godhead is not difficult to understand if we will remember that both DIVINE and HUMAN natures are involved.  SPIRIT and FLESH.

GOD was manifest IN the FLESH.”

In the above phrase the TWO NATURES are clearly seen.  “GOD” is the DIVINE nature, which is nature number one, which is SPIRIT.

John 4:24 - “God is a Spirit…”  This God who is Spirit was manifest, made known, or revealed IN the FLESH, which is nature number two, THE PHYSICAL BODY.

In Jesus Christ we find BOTH the DIVINE and HUMAN natures, both SPIRIT and FLESH.  Notice the following DUAL NATURES of Jesus Christ:

HUMAN NATURE (FLESH)                                           DIVINE NATURE (SPIRIT)

The MAN Christ Jesus:  I Tim. 2:5                                 Jesus is called GOD:  John 20:28

Jesus of Nazareth a MAN:  Acts 2:22                            Jesus the mighty GOD:  Isa. 9:6

Jesus was HUNGRY:  Mark 11:22                                 Jesus called ALMIGHTY:  Rev. 1:8

Jesus was WEARY:  John 4:6                                        Jesus KNEW ALL THINGS: John 21:17

Jesus PRAYED: Mark 6:46                                             Jesus ANSWERS prayer:  John 14:14

Jesus FASTED:  Matt. 4:2                                               Jesus the everlasting FATHER:  Isa. 9:6

SCRIPTURAL CONCLUSION:  JESUS is BOTH GOD and MAN.  He is the GOD-MAN, sometimes speaking AS GOD and sometimes speaking as  a MAN .  In this fact you can see the DUAL NATURES of Jesus Christ.

The following are examples of Jesus speaking as God (His Divine nature):

“Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  Matt. 11:28

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”  Matt. 18:20

“For he said unto him, come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.”  Mark 5:8

“And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, man, thy sins are forgiven thee.”  Luke 5:20

“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”  John 11:43

The following are examples of Jesus speaking as a man (His human nature):

“…Jesus saith unto her, give me to drink.”  John 4:7

“I can of my own self do nothing.”  John 5:30

“…Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying…My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”  Mark 15:34

“…Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.”  John 19:28

The following are the views held by the religious world concerning the Deity of Jesus Christ:

A.  Mormons:  Jesus is the spirit-child of God.

B.  Catholics and Protestants:  Jesus is the second person of the trinity.

C.  Christian Science and Unity:  Jesus is an idea emanating from the

      divine mind.

D.  Theosophy:  Jesus is a wise teacher as Buddha.

E.  Spiritism:  Jesus is an advanced spirit now residing in the sixth sphere.

F.  Jehovah’s Witnesses:  Jesus is the created archangel Michael.

Notice that all of these religions and cults have one thing in common:

They all strip Jesus Christ of His full glory and deity which belongs to Him.

He’s never the first, always the second.  He is always placed in a position less than Almighty God.  They will never recognize Jesus as the Almighty God, the ONLY true God in whom dwells all the fullness of the Godhead.

Notice what Jesus told Satan during the time of his temptation:

“…For it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”  Matt. 4:10

The term, “IT IS WRITTEN” refers back to Deuteronomy 6:13 and 10:20.  These Old Testament Scriptures refer to JEHOVAH

Anytime the word “LORD” is all capitalized in the Old Testament it literally means “JEHOVAH.”

In Matt. 4:10 Jesus is actually saying that only JEHOVAH is to be served and worshipped.  With this thought in mind, then this means JESUS is JEHOVAH.  Concerning JESUS, notice the following Scriptures:

“And behold, there came a leper and WORSHIPPED him.”  Matt. 8:2

“And they WORSHIPPED him, and returned to Jerusalem.”  Luke 24:52

“While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and WORSHIPPED him.”  Matt. 9:18

CONCLUSION:  If ONLY JEHOVAH is to be WORSHIPPED, (Matt. 4:10, Deut. 6:13 & 10:20) and JESUS ACCEPTED WORSHIP (Matt. 8:2 & 9:18, Luke 24:52) then JESUS IS JEHOVAH!

The apostle Peter refused worship (Acts 10:25-26).

The apostle Paul refused worship (Acts 14:11-18)

But concerning JESUS, ALL THE ANGELS are told to WORSHIP JESUS(Hebrews 1:6)

In John 14:8, the apostle Philip said the following to Jesus:

“Lord, show us the Father…”  Notice, Philip asked to see the FATHER.

He did not ask to see the SON.  In the following verses notice how Jesus responded to Philip’s desire to see the Father:

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not KNOWN ME, Philip?  He that hath SEEN ME hath SEEN THE FATHER;  and how sayest thou then, show us the Father?  John 14:9

“And he that seeth ME seeth HIM that sent me.”  John 12:45

Compare John 8:24 with John 8:27:

John 8:24:  “For if ye believe not that I am HE, ye shall die in your sins.”

John 8:27:  “They understood not that he spake to them of the FATHER.”

Any honest hearted person can see the truth of Jesus being the Father if they will study these Scriptures with an open mind.

“And she shall bring forth a SON, and ye shall call his name JESUS:  for he shall save his people from their sins.”  Matt. 1:21

The religious term, “God the Son,” is not found anywhere in the Word of God.  It is a man made term invented by those who teach the trinity doctrine.  Jesus in Scripture is called the “Son of God” and never “God the Son.”

The biblical term, “Son of God,” is in reference to the humanity of Jesus Christ.

Notice the following Scriptures:

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another COMFORTER, that he may abide with you forever.” (compare with Matt. 28:20)

“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know HIM; for HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, and SHALL be IN YOU.”

“I will not leave you COMFORTLESS: I will come to you.”

  John 14:16-18

“But the COMFORTER, which is the HOLY GHOST…”  John 14:26

“…Which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory.” Col. 1:27

If Jesus is not the Holy Ghost in Spiritual manifestation, then there are two Spirits, contradicting Ephesians 4:4 which states there is only “ONE SPIRIT.”

II Corinthians 3:17 - “Now the Lord is that Spirit…”  Notice the next phrase of this Scripture:

“…And where the SPIRIT of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY.”

Jesus said the following concerning himself in Luke 4:18:

“…He hath ANOINTED ME…to set at LIBERTY them that are bruised.”

The following three verses reveal who the LORD is:

“Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God is ONE LORD.”  Deut. 6:4

“ONE LORD, one faith, one baptism.’  Ephesians 4:5

“And he said, who art thou LORD?  And the LORD said, I AM JESUS.” Acts 9:5

The next verse tells us that JEHOVAH is the TRUE GOD:

“But the LORD is the TRUE GOD…”  Jeremiah 10:10

The following verse tells us that JESUS is the TRUE GOD:

“…We are in him that is TRUE, even in his Son JESUS CHRIST, this is the TRUE GOD…”  I John 5:20

If JESUS is not JEHOVAH GOD, then how can you have TWO being called the TRUE GOD?  Can you have TWO TRUE GODS?  This proves that JESUS is JEHOVAH GOD in a fleshly body.  (I Timothy 3:16)

The next verse says that the LORD, JEHOVAH GOD, is the SAVIOUR:

“I, even I, am the LORD; and BESIDE ME, THERE IS NO SAVIOUR.”

Isaiah 43:11

The following verse says JESUS is the SAVIOUR:

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a SAVIOUR, which is CHRIST the LORD.”  Luke 2:11

Notice what the LORD, JEHOVAH GOD, said in the following verse:

“Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called: I AM HE; I am the FIRST, I also am the LAST.  Isaiah 48:12

Now notice what JESUS said in the following two verses:

“…For if ye believe not that I AM HE, ye shall die in your sins.” John 8:24

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the FIRST and the LAST.”  Revelation 22:13

Notice that the LORD, JEHOVAH GOD, claims to be the I AM HE, and the FIRST and the LAST.  But concerning JESUS it says He is the I AM HE, and He is the FIRST and the LAST.

Can you have TWO being the I AM HE and TWO claiming to be the FIRST and the LAST?  The only answer to harmonize these Scriptures is to recognize that JESUS is JEHOVAH GOD in a fleshly body (I Timothy 3:16).

Notice what the LORD, JEHOVAH GOD, said in the following verse:

“I am the LORD that maketh ALL THINGS; that stretcheth forth the heavens ALONE: that spreadeth abroad the earth by MYSELF.”  Isaiah 44:24

Notice what the next two verses say about JESUS:

Concerning Jesus it is said:  “ALL THINGS were made by HIM…”   John 1:3

And again concerning Jesus it is said:  “He was in the world, and the world was made by HIM…”  John 1:10

Take note from the above three Scriptures that the LORD, JEHOVAH GOD, said HE made the earth ALONE and by MYSELF.  Yet the other two Scriptures teach that JESUS made the world.  Did JEHOVAH lie saying HE created the world by HIMSELF?  The truth is that JESUS is JEHOVAH GOD manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16).

Who raised Jesus from the dead?  In the first verse below Jesus said He would raise himself from the dead.  In the second verse below the Scripture says the Father raised Jesus from the dead.  How can this be, unless Jesus is the Father in the flesh:

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”  John 2:19

“…But by Jesus Christ, and God the FATHER, who raised him from the dead.”  Galatians 1:1

Concerning JESUS notice the following:  “And ye are complete in HIM, which is the HEAD of ALL principality and power.”  Col. 2:10

How can JESUS be the HEAD of ALL principality and power and still be equal to two other persons in the Godhead?

“For in HIM dwelleth ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily.”  Col. 2:9

Notice it says in HIM and NOT in THEM.  It’s ALL in JESUS!
