JESUS: THE SELF-EXISTENCE YAHWEH (3)
JESUS: THE SELF-EXISTENCE YAHWEH (Part 3)
By Pastor Thaddaeus Thompson: TMGMinistries.org
Topic Based on 1Timothy 3:16 KJV: “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
Part 1 declares the Yahweh and Part 2 discusses what God said about himself to the prophets and us, and Part 3 reveals Him.
There is only one Yahweh and he is Jesus. If there were 3 Yahwehs, how come none of the prophets from Abraham to Malachi knew of it. Check this scripture: “Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears” (2 Samuel 7:22 KJV). Another scripture, in which Jehovah or Yahweh spoke in the Old Testament: “For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour …” Jehovah said he is the savior and the only one. So, if Jesus is not Jehovah but rather the Son of Jehovah, as some theologians claim, then who was the savior. It cannot be two saviors (Jehovah and Jesus). So, we know that Jesus was Jehovah in the Old Testament.
Jehovah, in the Old Testament said this: “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:3, 10-11 KJV).
First, Paul makes it clear that God is without controversy, argument, or doubt “a mystery” (“Great is the mystery of godliness” 1 Timothy 3:16). In other words, God is a mystery; something you need to seek and search by digging deeper into the spiritual. It’s not found when you just shout out his name; you must go deeper into the spiritual (Ezekiel 47:3-6). Verse 3-5, Ezekiel had to move deeper into the water until he was submerged in the Spirit and in Verse 6, “God showed him things.”
Saints, if you want God to use you, show you things, or witness his power, you must get deeper into the Spirit. So, what is “deeper in the Spirit?” It has something to do with your holiness; howbeit, it has more to do with your sincerity.
Sincerely cry out to God in prayer saying:
-
I am a sinner (not like a Pharisee that thinks he or she has no sin)
-
I am hurting or tell him what you want him to do for you
-
Lord help me.
This will take you farther in the Spirit than a 3-day meaningless fast without repentance and humbleness.
Amen
