Is There Difference Between Jesus and Jesus the Christ?

Yes. Jesus is the self-existence Yahweh, God, or Elohim, the one without beginning. Jesus the Christ was begotten to live with us on earth for 33 years and die for the sins of the world. The Christ was a God-man born by Mary in Bethlehem and was crucified at Calvary, Israel and resurrected back into his fullness as Jehovah God. Jesus the Yahweh, God, Elohim cannot be killed by man, but the begotten Christ was killed by men at Golgotha, Calvary. Hence Jesus said, "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

Note: In the above scriptures, Jesus did not say there shall arise many "Jesus'." Rather, he said "Christs." Because there can never be more than one God Jesus, but there can be many false Christs. The Christ was a God-man, but Jesus is God and cannot be duplicated. Jesus Christ = God Man. 1 Tim 2:5 reads, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Jesus the Father sent Jesus the Christ to redeem us and when the mission was accomplished, he left and sent Jesus the Holy Spirit to the earth to strengthen and regenerate our spirits and bring us back to God.
