PRAISE, PRAYER & WORSHIP = INTIMACY
Case Study 3
PRAISE, PRAYER & WORSHIP = INTIMACY WITH GOD
By Pastor Thaddaeus Thompson: TMGMinistries.org
My response to "Psalms 84:2-5 NKJV: What Is Your Take On This Scriptures", sent to me 8/20/2020.
Psalms 84:2-5: "My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD: My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God."
V3. "Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young--, Even your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God."
V4. “Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.”
What a powerful prayer and praise for God from the Psalmist to the sons of Korah? Thanks for sharing. It took me into meditation on the Word of God. This is a fervent prayer. My prayers and praise are very weak compared to the ones in the Book of Psalms, giving that James wrote that those whom we read about in the Bible are like us; they were not super-humans. Elijah was a man of like passion as us. Why has our spiritual prayer and praise become so weak, today? The answer is simple: because we always tell God what to do instead of waiting for God to tell us what to do. And then we make it Bible: oh the Bible says “ask and it shall be given.” Wrong! The Bible says “praise, worship and it shall be given.” Right!
Oftentimes, we think prayer is to ask God for things. He already knows our needs and doesn’t hold back what we need. What he needs is our praise and worship through prayer. Praise and worship creates prayer; prayer creates intimacy; blessings are birth through intimacy between the Lord and His Bride. It’s a supernatural concept: male and female come together called intimacy and through intimacy creation multiples, which is the blessings. Without intimacy with the Lord, there is no blessings. Intimacy is not derived from wishful thinking; intimacy is achieved through Praise and Worship, which is called Prayer.
Verses 4-5 NKJV “Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.” The scripture above says the righteous will still be praising God regardless of the circumstances around them. Second, the righteous’ heart or mind is set on pilgrimage. In other words, not on this earth but on the kingdom beyond. The righteous is one who doesn’t care about material gains on this earth, because he or she is passing through to the promise land. Amen!
To my understanding 2 Peter 1:3-4 scripture is saying:
When you come into the knowledge of who he is and you truly want to live a life of godliness and receive the promises of the life as he intended before the first sin was committed which is the true divine nature for his precious creation which are his children. One must put away their sinful desires. As I read this verse these question arose yet again:
# Question 1: what are sinful desires to me?
#2: How many are there?
#3 :What does the bible say they are?
#4: Where are the verses that contain the sinful desires in the bible?
The Answer to my questions are in linked below
Question 1-3: Sinful desires are not obeying the Bible but living our own and want God to adjust to our beliefs and human thoughts. It's not just the 10 commandments; it's all that God says do and don't. Even the minor issues like wrongly taking sides because you want to cover up for s friend's sin. Not keeping our temple clean, including over-eating, drinking, drug abuse (both illicit and prescription) and smoking and many other sins. In all our decisions, it must be right in God's eyes not in people's eyes.
Question 4: They are all over the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. How disappointed God is in humanity.

Ezekiel 28:16-17 Lucifer fell because he was all focused on beauty. The Bible says he was beautiful, a term that is used today only for women. He was very prideful and proud of his achievements and he fell because of these qualities that he bragged about. Look at the world today. Humans are making exactly the mistakes that Lucifer made. We see the handwork and footprints of Lucifer everywhere in the world today. Nothing happens on accident, Lucifer cooks them up. Rebellion and self-centered was.
