WHAT IS EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER?

• Praying sincerely and intensely from your heart.

• Using scriptures to pray helps you pray in God’s will

• Adding fasting to prayer

• Praying with a clean heart

• Starting your prayer with praise and ending with praise

• Making sure everyone is forgiven and no bitterness in your heart

 

UNDERSTANDING HOW PRAYER WORKS?

The WORD alone is not active until the SPIRIT lights it up and then it becomes alive. Without the spirit of God the word that you speak in prayer will remain inactive. The word will remain idle, without power, ineffective, meaningless and oftentimes destructive.

 

WHAT IS PRAYING IN GOD’S WILL?

Simply put, praying in God’s will is using the statements (mostly promises) that God has made in the Bible. This is the word of God.

 

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SAY “JESUS?”

When Satan and his demons hear the name Jesus, they tremble; it shakes hell. Therefore, it alerts them of danger and immediately they begin to find out who is calling that name. As a result, be careful not to draw the attention of hell, when the power of heaven is not behind your prayers. You will not be under the coverage of heaven when you have in your heart unforgiveness, hate, holding on to offense, bitterness and all manners of sin. If you call out the name of Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, without the Spirit backing it, you will unnecessarily draw hell’s attention and they will attack you and inflict you. Hence, you see some people attempting to cast out a demon in a demon-possessed person by shouting “in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus” without the Spirit, and they end up being ran over by legion of demons. “And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?” (Acts 19:15 KJV). When you lay hands on somebody and shout Jesus, Jesus with or without the spirit, it awakens hell and they will come to find out with which authority you are calling out the name Jesus. And if they find out that you are laying hands on people with your own strengths, they will run you over. This is why some of you get in serious trouble when you minister or pray for people. The demons afflict you with poverty, disease, confusion and all that the person had. Like it happened to the seven sons of Sceva. The demons came out and rip apart the person using the WORD without the SPIRIT. 

Jesus Christ is not used as an instrument to get result, but to get the authority in the name of Jesus Christ. “Thou shall not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.’ (Exodus 20:7). This is what happened to the seven sons of Sceva. Today the world is a generation of Sceva. Over 90 percent of Christians are living the generation of Sceva. What are we talking about? We are talking about those of us who minister deliverance, healing, salvation, miracles over people without the SPIRIT. If I pray for you without the spirit, the thing that I was trying to cast out of you will jump into me. If I don't deliver you, you deliver me.
