This study material draws a distinct attention to Satan's efforts to confuse the church about what Jesus represents and who he actually is. Most Christian leaders do not know who Jesus is and tend to confuse their congregation by calling him "The God Son or Son of God." You often hear them say, "He is sitting at the right hand of his Father and taking instructions." Others say, "He is the second person in the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)." And then, the next moment, they will say he is God, the one and only one to be worshipped. If Jesus is not the only one God, as the Old Testament and New Testament teaches, then believers are to worship 2 Gods, which is not biblical. As Trinitarian doctrine teaches, we have a third God, which is the Holy Spirit. So, which of the 3 was Jesus referring to when he told Satan, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and only him shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:10)." In Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 45:5-7, and the entire verse of Isaiah 45 Jehovah God said repeatedly that there is no other God beside him. If Jesus is not Jehovah in the Old Testament, then your leaders who are calling him the second person in the trinity are misquoting scriptures. In the New Testament, in Colossians 2:9, Jesus is declared the Godhead bodily, meaning "The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" combined. There is no separation between Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is sound doctrine.
