01. God's Promise: The Day of Pentecost
Acts 2:1-4. "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, 2 and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (KJV)
PROMISE FULFILLED: The above promise of the Holy Ghost was given by Jesus to all who believe in him (Acts 1:8).
02. God's Plan of Salvation
Matthew 28:19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, (KJV).
This scripture and command was fulfilled in Acts 2:38:
Acts 2:38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, everyone of you and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (KJV).
JESUS' INSTRUCTIONS ON BAPTISM FULFILLED: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them ... (Matt. 28:19).
03. Supreme Creator Over All
“By Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-- all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.…” 1 Cor. 1:16-17
04. Our Hope - Our Peace - Our Redeemer
Our Hope – “…Christ Jesus our hope.” 1 Tim. 1:1
Our Peace – “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,” Eph. 2:14
Our Redeemer – “And as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.” Job 19:25
05. Jesus is Mighty God and Everlasting Father
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace – “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Is. 9:6
