WHY WE ARE THE ENDTIME GENERATION

WHY WE ARE THE ENDTIME GENERATION

(Pastor Thaddaeus Thompson: TMGMinistries)

The Book of Matthew begins with this statement: “The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, …….” ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬). This became the generation that received GRACE through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We are part of this generation.   In this session, we are going to focus on the word “generation” as emphasized in the opening of the New Testament Bible (Not the New Testament itself). The New Testament actually started when the testator died on the cross at Calvary.

In Matthew Chapter 1, the Bible opens with genealogy and right after it outlines the generations.  Our existence as humans is directly linked to generations, thus from one generation to the next.  Whether we are aware of this fact or not, the Bible informs us that major events always happen in direct relationship to generational periods.  What does this mean?  In Matthew 1:7, we see that “all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.”

THE COVENANTS

God has made eight Covenants with man. They all relate to the earth. Each one introduces a New Dispensation. Six of them were given to individual and representative men, as Adam, Noah and Abraham, and went into effect during their lives except the one given to David, which took effect at the birth of Jesus.  Note: the Covenant that God made with David did not take effect in David’s lifetime.  It took effect when Christ was born.  From the time that God had a covenant with David to the birth of Christ was 28 generations (that is twice 14 generations).  I divided the year 2020 by 28 generations, which is from the time Christ came until today, 2020.  The number 2,020 years divided by 28 generations = 72 years lifespan per generation.  I then researched the average human lifespan from the United Nations web site.  Here is the result: “Worldwide, the average life expectancy at birth was 71 years (70 years for males and 72 years for females) over the period 2010–2015 according to United Nations World Population Prospects 2015 Revision.” Shockingly, 28 generations is 2020 years.  This is exactly the time frame between when God made the covenant with King David to the birth of Christ.

The revelation here is that a new time or dispensation started after 2,020 years between King David and Christ, meaning we are about to walk into a NEW DISPENSATION, which the Bible says will be the Dispensation of the Tribulation (ENDTIME).  This will kick off the writings in the Book of Revelation, which starts with this statement: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, ……. ”‬‬‬‬ (Revelation‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬).‬‬‬‬  There are 8 covenants.  The 6th Covenant also known as The "Davidic" Covenant found in 2 Sam. 7:4-17 was given to King David, through Nathan the Prophet, at Jerusalem. It took effect from the "Dispensation of Grace," when Jesus (God became human).  This Covenant has one condition, based on disobedience, this would lead to chastisement and postponement of the promise, but not its abrogation. The Covenant contains four promises: 1. The house of David, 2. The throne of David, 3. The kingdom of David, and 4. It will never end.  I am stating these time-facts to link the Covenant given to King David and the sequence of events: King David to Jesus 28 generations and Jesus to us today 28 generations. King David to Jesus (Beginning of new Dispensation); Jesus to us (Beginning of new Dispensation), which will be the ENDTIME Dispensation, also known as the Tribulations Dispensation. Be ready when he comes; it right around the corner.  DO NOT LET THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC DISTRACT YOU FROM THE COMING OF JESUS.

Amen!
